I liked the fun jokes all the way through, an your message was very true. We could all do better not stereotyping and getting out of our comfort zones.
Good job splicing it up with comedy. The idea of the comfort zone is one I connect with. It is the one place I refuse to be. For example, in weight lifting, the moment you get comfortable is the moment you begin to backtrack. Comfort should not be comfortable, and comfortable should not be achievable. And with that, great job emily
Your speech was really entertaining, you had a funny joke at the beginning. You really embraced your topic. Your message was inspiring, I felt that I needed to break free of all the stereotypes people place on me. "Don't let what people say, define you" I loved that. You did amazing!
I love your jokes! Really made the audience connect with you. "Kill them with logic" I love that quote. I felt that you really talked to me, and reached out to me. It is hard to tell yourself that you have the power and I'm glad you took up a bad point and knocked it down. Great job!
Very clever and intriguing. I hate stereotypes, yet I know I am guilty of stereotyping. This really made me think about myself and also gave me confidence in knowing who I am and that stereotypes do not define me (kind of relates to the whole age thing that I talked about). You presented very well.
I like the phrase "actions of the few define the many", and the definition of stereotyping. I like how you said that every person is different, and that we can help each other against stereotyping. It was a good message, and you presented it well.
Your speech was really powerful and the humorous parts now and then were so enjoyable. You are such a great speaker, when you paused it was really effective and made your points more meaningful. The slideshow really added to the speech, too!
Emily, You were very comedic during your presentation and it was fun. Stereotypes are popular especially when projected at different races. Your PowerPoint helped me learn and I loved it!
Emily, I loved your speech! You were extremely passionate and really got your point across! Your speech made me realize how much people, especially myself, stereotype. Thank you for sharing! You did amazing!

ReplyDeleteThe topic of individuality is something often forgotten in today's society. Bringing emphasis back to this is important to how our society functions.
