  5. Your topic was very similar to mine, which makes me biased to your speech. Very good. You finished this tourney of speeches very well, great job. Awesome connection with the audience through openly sharing your fear of performance, and therefore openly allowing theirs. You are an incredibly brilliant girl. Excellent leadership qualities, through your calm quiet demeanor and big ideas. Very articulate speech, I enjoyed it. Thank you

  6. I like the way you dissected the qualities of perseverance and strength. The way you connected it to yourself was great. Nice job being honest with your fear of public speaking.

  10. For someone who is afraid to speak in front of people you did a phenomenal job being articulate and conveying your message. I also loved the analogy of the optimism balloon and the determination house.

  12. You said you were terrified but you didn't appear to be AT ALL. You were so confident and well prepared. If you were nervous, you sure did fake it well! Strength is hard to find but we all have it because we all went up there and gave our speeches. :) I wish more people understood that optimism is a choice, because it really is.

  13. Your speech is so easy to relate to. I was so terrified to get up and give my TED talk but I found strength to persevere through it. Optimism get all teenagers through school. Your TED talk was amazing. I love the I will vs. I wish attitude. WOW!

  16. I loved your description of mental strength! You may dislike public speaking, but you're actually a fantastic speaker, the meaning came through in everything you said. I enjoyed how you related your main points to the TED Talk itself, it was so unique and interesting!

  18. You really didn't let how scared you were show at all, if you hadn't said anything I never would have even known that you were. The connection between optimism and you didn't know if it was a good TED talk, but you had to be optimistic that it was was great. Your TED will was so great.

  19. Mental strength is truly able to pull us out of life's ditches. You are so brave to talk in front of these scary people :) Great font by the way! Anyway, your speech really spoke to me, showed me the light in darkness. Great symbolism with the house. Your "I will" might just become my new life motto. THAT WAS SO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! I'm so proud!
