  • Then explain what does it mean
  • Background information- One sentence on each text stating titles, exposing your reader to what you want to talk about. Compare the lead in quote to thesis and the texts you are going to use. Fast and easy but effective. 5-10 minutes on the intro max. (Should be around 10-12 sentences.)

On Friday we discussed the final we will have on this coming Tuesday. We discussed the good mechanics of an essay when writing a thesis, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Today we solely discussed the class final. This will be an in-class essay that we will have 90 minutes to complete. The homework is to have your outline by Monday and to read pages 225-298 in 1984 when we get back from break.
