I believe that after reading about the system of it works 99% I understand the mishaps that the system could cause. I believe that people to better ensure their safety need to be aware of their surroundings because as we had read in this book this system is flawed and does not just inconvienence people it disrupts their lives every day.
@ David M.: Marcus is not a terrorist because he does not use terror as a weapon to incite fear and wage war. He instead exercises his personal rights to advocate freedom.
@ Rachel: Throughout the novel, the public's view of the government has been dictated by two opposing forces, the Xnet and the Department of Homeland Security. As the two forces pull apart, people are forced to take sides on an issue they wouldn't normally be concerned about.
@ Class: What is the purpose of the DHS? Why are they doing what they are doing? Are they truly acting in what they believe to be the public's best interest, or are they deliberately seizing power?
